General terms and conditions for the purchase and use
of standard Active Slovenia ski passes (AS passes)
for the 2014/15 season

You can choose from among the following ski passes:

  • the individual standard season ski pass (individual AS pass)
  • the family standard season ski pass (family AS pass)
  • the 6-day tourist ski pass (6-day AS pass)
  • The individual and family AS passes are simultaneously an Active Slovenia advantage card valid from 15 December 2014 to 5 May 2015. They can be used to claim any of the Active Slovenia deals and bonuses offered by partners in the Active Slovenia project (for more, see www.activeslo.com). The general terms of purchase, use and validity for AS passes are given in the following text.

Each AS pass and its implicit Active Slovenia advantage card is the property of a single individual, and is not transferable. In cases of misuse the pass will be irrevocably revoked without monetary compensation.

  • There are additional discounts on AS passes available to disabled persons:
  • disabled persons:        10%
  • blind skiers:  100% for a blind skier, 50% for an accompanying guide skier
  • deaf skiers:   10%
  • The following names of particular passes will be stated on the ski passes:
  • Individual Season Ski Pass
  • Family Season Ski Pass
  • 6-Day Tourist Ski Pass
  • Individual and family AS passes will be on sale from 1 October 2014 to 15 January 2015, while the 6-day passes will be on sale until the close of the skiing season.
  • The production, sale and use of the 2014/15 AS ski passes will be undertaken in accordance with the table below:

Individual AS pass:

Price (including VAT):

adults  (born 1950 to 1995):    599,00 €

*The only charge is €10 for a chip/medium, and the production of the pass. Only children from a family where at least one person in a group of adults, young people or seniors is purchasing an individual AS pass are entitled to this type of pass.Proof of residence at a shared address (issued by the administrative unit) or of the family relationship (birth certificate for children, parents and grandparents) is required.

This pass allows you to ski at all the major resorts in Slovenia, and is valid for night skiing. The exception is Rogla, where an individual AS pass is not valid for night skiing (see above table).
At resorts not in the Rikom system, the pass should be presented at the ticket office, where a record is taken and a daily pass is issued (see above table).
Ordering and sale of ski passes:

  • passes are on sale from 1 October 2014 to 15 January 2015, and are in production from 15 November 2014
  • passes can be ordered and purchased at www.activeslo.com
  • passes are also available at all resorts designated in the AS pass 2014/15 table
  • passes ordered and bought after 15 November 2014 at resorts (other than Mb Pohorje) or ordered on the website will be produced no more than five working days after the requisite payment, photographs and confirmations have been received. Time for delivery by post is not included in the three-day deadline
  • the price includes the production of the ski pass and delivery by post

Terms and conditions
The following are required for purchasing an individual AS pass:

  • a passport photo (in digital form [jpg], max 800 kB), to be emailed to the producer (agreement at ticket office)
  • a personal document or photocopy of the same, to provide proof of identity and age
  • payment in cash, prepayment (before the pass is collected), or by credit card.  Passes can be purchased by prepayment on the Active Slovenia website, but terms and conditions apply to payments at resort ticket offices

Terms of use for the individual AS pass:

  • pass holders must observe the general terms and conditions of the operator of the resort that they are intending to visit

Other:

  • individual AS passes do not provide additional insurance cover for the pass holder. Skiers are covered under the terms and conditions of the resort at which they are skiing
  • in the event of an injury to the holder of an individual AS pass occurring before or on 31 January 2015, a 50% discount will be available for any AS pass for the following ski season, while in the event of an injury occurring before the end of February 2015 a discount of 20% on this year’s individual AS pass will be offered, provided that the majority of resorts have operated at least 30 days. A medical certificate, a record of the incident at the resort and the ski pass should be submitted to the Association of Slovenian Chairlift Operators (Dimičeva 13, 1000 Ljubljana) within five days, by no later than 15 May 2015. Any use of the pass after the date of the injury is deemed to be misuse, and the claim for reimbursement will be rejected
  • lost passes should be reported to the point of sale where the pass was purchased. For passes purchased online, contact the Association of Slovenian Chairlift Operators at +386 1 5898130 or email danilo.brecelj@siol.net. We recommend that you keep a note of the serial number of your ski pass once purchased. The cost of producing a new pass is €10
  • if during the process of producing a ski pass it is found that the purchaser does not meet the terms of purchase, the pass is not produced and the money is refunded to an account designated by the purchaser
  • prices are informative in nature, and we reserve the right to change prices and the terms and conditions

This pass allows you to ski at all the major resorts in Slovenia other than Kranjska Gora and Mariborsko Pohorje, and is valid for night skiing (see table above).
Pass holders can claim all the deals and bonuses to which holders of the Active Slovenia card are entitled. The level of the entitlements accords with the policy at the resort in question.

Ordering and sale of ski passes:

  • passes can be ordered and purchased at www.activeslo.com
  • passes can be ordered and purchased at certain resorts (see above table)
  • the deadline for producing passes ordered and purchased at Cerkno is no more than five working days, not including delivery by post. Passes are produced at the Association of Slovenia Chairlift Operators
  • passes ordered on the website are produced no more than five working days after the requisite payment, photographs and confirmations have been received. Time for delivery by post is not included in the three-day deadline
  • the price includes the production of the ski pass and delivery by post

Terms and conditions
For purchasing a family AS pass:

  • numbers 1 to 14 are family packages  
  • packages 15, 16 and 17 are designed for couples with children and/or older children who are registered and resident at the same address
  • a maximum of four passes can be purchased in a family package
  • free passes are issued to fifth and subsequent family members, provided that they are children, when a €10 fee is paid for the medium
  • family package bonuses can only be claimed when all the passes are purchased together
  • proof of residence at a shared address is required
  • a holder of an individual AS pass or a trainer or competitor AS pass cannot be included among the member of a family AS pass

Categories:

  • children: aged 6 to 14 (born 2000 to 2008)
  • children aged 5 and under (born 2009 or after) get a free pass, with a charge of €10 for the medium NOTE: This is not counted as a fifth family member. Any child aged 5 or under from a family that has purchased a family AS ski pass obtains a free pass, to make it easier to use gondolas, access ramps and crossings, etc.
  • young people: aged 15 to 18 (born 1996 to 1999)

Partners card:

  • only valid for married and unmarried couples resident at the same address. Is not valid in combination with parents, close relatives or friends  
  • proof of residence at a shared address (issued by the administrative unit) must be submitted
  • partners package bonuses can only be claimed when both passes are purchased together

Senior partners pass:

  • valid for married and unmarried couples resident at the same address. Is not valid in combination with parents, close relatives or friends
  • proof of residence at a shared address (issued by the administrative unit) must be submitted
  • the senior partners pass is available to couples that meet the aforementioned conditions and are aged 65 or older (born 1949 or before)
  • grandchildren may not be added to the senior partners package
  • senior partners package bonuses can only be claimed when both passes are purchased together

Grandparent-grandchild:

  • the grandparent-grandchild package is flexible: there are a maximum of two grandparents, and four grandchildren
  • a maximum of two passes for grandchildren may be purchased for any single grandparent. The price for a grandchild is always €165
  • grandparents need not be aged 65 or over; they may be younger
  • proof of the family relationship (birth certificate for children, parents and grandparents) is required
  • grandparent-grandchild package bonuses can only be claimed when all the passes are purchased together

Special combinations:

  • people aged between 19 and 25 (born 1989 to 1995) that have not yet entered employment can purchase a pass from the young person’s package if they submitproof of this status (valid student ID) and proof of residence at a shared address
  • separated parents and their biological children who do not live at a shared address can claim family packages if they submitproof of this status (a birth certificate)

The following are required for purchasing a family AS pass:

  • a passport photo (in hard copy, or digital form [jpg, max 800 kB]) for each family member. Hard copies of photographs are retained for the potential production of passes for subsequent seasons, but can be returned at your request
  • a personal document or photocopy of the same for each family member, to provide proof of identity, residence at a shared address, and age
  • payment in cash, prepayment (before the pass is collected), or payment by credit card. Passes can be purchased by prepayment on the Active Slovenia website, but terms and conditions apply to payments at resort ticket offices

Terms of use for the family AS pass:

  • family pass holders must observe the general terms and conditions of the operator of the resort that they are intending to visit

Other:

  • the card (medium or chip) containing the ski pass can be used on multiple occasions. Cardholders are asked to retain them for use in subsequent seasons
  • family AS passes do not provide additional insurance cover for the pass holder. Skiers are covered under the terms and conditions of the resort at which they are skiing
  • in the event of an injury to the holder of a family AS pass occurring before or on 31 January 2015, a 50% discount will be available for any AS pass for the following ski season, while in the event of an injury occurring before the end of February 2015 a discount of 20% on this year’s family AS pass will be offered, provided that the majority of resorts have operated at least 30 days. 3. 6-day AS pass:

This pass allows you to ski for six consecutive days at any Slovenian resort. You can choose a different resort each day if you like. The pass includes night skiing.
Ordering and sale of ski passes:

  • passes can be ordered and purchased at www.activeslo.com
  • passes can be ordered and purchased at all resorts in Slovenia
  • the pass is produced on the first day of use upon payment at a resort ticket office
  • passes ordered online and prepaid are produced on the basis of confirmation from the Association of Slovenian Chairlift Operators by the ticket office at which the ski pass is used on the first day
  • the price includes the production of the ski pass and delivery by post

Terms and conditions:
The following are required for purchasing a 6-day AS pass:

  • a passport photo (in hard copy, or digital form [jpg, max 800 kB], enquire at ticket office). Hard copies of photographs are retained for the potential production of passes for subsequent seasons, but can be returned at your request
  • payment in cash, prepayment (before the pass is collected), or payment by credit card. Passes can be purchased by prepayment on the Active Slovenia website, but terms and conditions apply to payments at resort ticket offices 

Terms of use for the 6-day AS pass:

  • holders of the 6-day AS pass must observe the general terms and conditions of the operator of the resort that they are intending to visit
  • upon arrival at a new resort the pass should be presented at the ticket office, where a record is taken and a daily pass is issued as necessary

Other:

  • 6-day AS passes do not provide additional insurance cover for the pass holder. Skiers are covered under the terms and conditions of the resort at which they are skiing
  • in the event of an injury to the pass holder, a discount corresponding to the unused days will apply to the purchase of an AS pass for the next season. The pass is deemed to have been used on the day of injury, irrespective of the time. No discount applies to injuries occurring on the final (sixth) day of the pass. A medical certificate and the ski pass should be submitted to the resort where the pass was purchased within five days, by no later than 15 May 2015. Any use of the pass after the date of the injury is deemed to be misuse, and the claim for reimbursement will be rejected
  • lost passes should be reported to the point of sale where the pass was purchased. For passes purchased online, contact the Association of Slovenian Chairlift Operators at +386 1 5898130 or email danilo.brecelj@siol.net.
